What is VideoETA?

VideoETA is the #1 source for release date information for DVD and Blu-ray. We also offer theatrical film and video game release information.

The website has been in operation since early 1999. It has been produced that entire time by two principals: Tim Briscoe and John Couture. We have a large supporting cast that has aided us considerably over the years in various functions.

Who is VideoETA?

VideoETA is wholly owned and maintained by a national home entertainment distributor. The purpose of the website is to provide information to the public and industry sources about the home entertainment availability of movies and games.

Where do you get the release date information?

All of the firm release date information is gathered from industry sources and is as accurate and timely as the studios that provide the information. Because of the close nature of our working relationship with the various studios, on occasion, they may give us release date information and put that information under embargo until a mutually agreed upon date ("Official Consumer Announce Date" or "OCAD"). In such cases where a title has an OCAD, we will indicate the date on which we are allowed to reveal the release date.

All estimated release dates for theatrical movies are determined by our combined 28 years of home entertainment experience. Estimated release dates are replaced by actual release dates when the dates are confirmed with established industry sources.

All dates are subject to change.

News items are procured from various sources both within the industry and across the internet. Proper identification and links are provided to the source material whenever possible. Editorial pieces and product reviews are completely original and the content of said pieces is the property of VideoETA and protected by United States copyright laws.
