Synopsis:	When Earl Pilcher's mother passes on she leaves behind a letter revealing a secret that she could not take to her grave. The woman Earl had always known as his mother was not his mother. His real mother was a black woman who had died giving birth to him. He also learns that he has a half-brother named Ray Murdock. The letter ends with his mother's dying wish that Earl seek out this stranger and know him as a brother. To fulfill this last request Earl sets off on a personal odyssey to find his brother.
