Legendary horror Wes Craven is set to direct screenwriter Kevin Williamson's update on the famous werewolf story. With Cursed, the duo hope to repeat their success of 1996's Scream.
Just as Scream featured a cast of talent young stars and a few also-rans, so too will Cursed. On board are Shannon Elizabeth, Christina Ricci, Kristina Anapau, Jesse Eisenberg, Omar Epps, and Scott Foley. The aforementioned also-rans include Scott Baio, Corey Feldman, James Brolin and Robert Forster. Scream's Skeet Ulrich and Neve Campbell will also appear.
Über make-up artist and monster-maker Rick Baker will help provide the looks for the half-man, half-beast. Baker has won six Oscars for his work including on An American Werewolf In London.
Shooting on the urban man-wolf tale begins shortly. Distributor Dimension Films is aiming for a February 2004 release.
