First, the rumors named Mike Myers as mortal Darrin Stephens in the upcoming feature adaptation of the TV show Bewitched. Then, funnyman Jim Carrey was talked about at Samantha's love interest. Now, it seems that director Nora Ephron has settled on Will Ferrel to play the advertising executive who, unbeknownst to himself, falls in love with a witch. Of course, in true keeping with the spirit of the TV show, perhaps these Will replace Jim half way through the movie.
Nicole Kidman has been longed attached to star in the lead role. In other Bewitched news, sources indicate that the story won't simply be an exact duplicate of the TV show. Apparently, the film will take one step backwards. Nicole will play a witch from another world who lands on Earth to escape her family. Once, on Earth, she takes a job on a TV show about a witch who falls in love with a normal man.
