Although Patrick Stewart and the rest of the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation have confirmed that they will no longer be a part of any more feature length movies, producer Rick Berman is already moving on to the next Star Trek movie francise.
The concept currently under consideration would be a prequel to the original Star Trek movie. The new direction of the successful series of films could be the result of the success of the latest Star Trek TV spinoff 'Enterprise,' which is set 100 years after First Contact, but before Captain Kirk began his exploration of the universe.
