Back in 1998, a little movie titled Wild Things made hearts sing for teen and twentysomething men every where. It was a clever little thriller with one very memorable scene starring Neve Campbell and Denise Richards.
The year 2004 brought the direct-to-video sequel Wild Things 2. Last year saw the release of Wild Things: Diamonds in the Rough. Alas, these sequels didn't feature Neve or Denise -- or much of anything else redeeming.
Thankfully there is a God and both ladies are supposedly close to reprising their roles. That's right. Suzie and Kelly could be getting into the swimming pool once again.
Mandalay Entertainment has signed original Wild Things director John McNaughton to lead "Backstabbers." It's a screenplay written by McNaughton and his old pal Stephen Fears, the same guy who wrote Wild Things. Rumor has it that Denise and Neve are both close to signing on to portray the same scheming characters in this film -- although the film isn't considered a true sequel.
