According to Hollywood news source Variety, casting offers have been made for the film version of the '80s TV soap Dallas. The biggest report is that Jennifer Lopez has been offered the role of Sue Ellen Ewing, the part made famous by Linda Grey.
Luke Wilson is reportedly in negotiations to play Bobby Ewing, Patrick Duffy's TV role. John Travolta has been offered the Larry Hagman lead role of J.R. Ewing. Shirley MacLaine is rumored to be up for Miss Ellie Ewing, the matriarch played by the late Barbara Bel Geddes.
The film from Twentieth Century Fox is being directed by Robert Luketic. Luketic previously worked with Lopez on last year's Monster-In-Law and with Wilson on 2001's Legally Blonde.
