Director Ridley Scott's 1982 classic Blade Runner is one of the most beloved sci-fi films of all time. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Warner Bros. will be releasing a new cut of the film.

Blade Runner: The Final Cut will be released theatrically in select cities and then followed by a new, deluxe DVD release. The multi-disc set will also include three other versions of the film: the original theatrical cut, the expanded international cut and the 1992 DVD cut.

This September, Warner will re-release the 1992 Director's Cut DVD for a limited four-month availability. This DVD was one of the first released by Warner in 1997.

“A number of people have told me that in the start-up days of DVD, Blade Runner was absolutely the first DVD title they wanted, so much so that they purchased it even before their first DVD player,” Warner Home Video exec Jeff Baker told Home Media Retailing.
