Daniel Craig in Sony Pictures has announced the title of the twenty-second James Bond movie, arriving in theaters this November. That title is Quantum of Solace.
Huh? What exactly does that mean? We're not exactly sure. It is also the name of a short story by Ian Fleming in his "For Your Eyes Only" collection (not to be confused with the '81 movie). However, according to Wikipedia (I know, not the best of sources), James Bond doesn't play a major role in that story.
Apparently the connection to the short story is superficial. "We thought it was an intriguing title and referenced what happened to Bond and what is happening in the film," producer Michael G. Wilson said of the title choice. The story line of the film picks up just minutes after the conclusion of Casino Royale.
Filming on the film has already begun outside of London. Additional shooting will occur in Austria, Italy and Panama.
Quantum of Solace, starring Daniel Craig, Olga Kurylenko, Gemma Arterton, and Mathieu Amalric, hits theaters Nov. 7.
