While most of the principal cast of G.I. Joe has been known for the last couple of months, the production took extra care to protect the identity of one of the main villains, Cobra Commander.

MTV Movies Blog caught up with actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt doing the publicity rounds for his latest movie Stop-Loss and the actor let the lisp out of the bag.

"I’ve got a good mask.”

Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character had previously been shrouded in mystery with only hints such as he's playing multiple roles. The mystery surrounding Cobra Commander's past seems that it will be a juicy one with rumors circulating that Cobra Commander will be a former close friend with Joe head honcho Duke and may even be a former Joe himself.

As for that infamous lisp/hiss that became the trademark of the character in its cartoon series run in the '80s, Gordon-Levitt assured fans that it will see the light of day.

"I’ve got a good voice, man."

G.I. Joe is currently filming and is scheduled to be in theaters on August 7, 2009.
