The Force is Animated with This OneAccording to StarWars.com, the first theatrical trailer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars will debut on May 8th at 7:58 PM across the Turner family of networks.
The Cartoon Network, TNT, TBS, CNN, and Boomerang are all on board for the simultaneous trailer launch of the theatrical movie that will kick off a brand new animated TV series in the Fall. Star Wars: The Clone Wars hits theaters on August 15th.
The weekly TV series is currently scheduled to air in the Fall on the Cartoon Network with re-airings on TNT. The day and timeslot should be revealed next week at the network upfronts.
The theatrical onesheet (right) was also released today and features Yoda along with Obi Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker from the movie series. A new character, Ahsoka (Anakin's padawan learner), also gets in on the poster fun.
Howard Ruffman from Lucasfilm expressed his excitement with the simultaneous trailer bow.
"By combining the power of the Turner Networks and the power of the Force, we're able to create a fantastic event for Star Wars fans of all ages."
