There's still more than meets the eyeOn Sunday night Transformers was lauded as the Best Movie at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards. During his acceptance speech, director Michael Bay (standing with the beautiful Megan Fox) announced that production on Transformers 2 would begin -- wait for it -- the next day.
That 'next day' has come and gone and spy photos from the set have already been posted to the interwebs. Below is a glimpse of the action from the set at an abandoned factory in Bethleham, Pa. All the photos are up at TFW2005.
In addition, the full title of the sequel has been officially announced. It will be called Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Shia LaBeouf, Fox, Josh Duhamel, and Tyrese Gibson will all be back. Rainn Wilson and Matthew Marsden join the line-up for this one.
It'll hit theaters on June 26, 2009.
