Have you experienced one of these new augmented reality 3D videos that are all the rage? You use your computer's web cam and a printed piece of paper to produce an image that moves around as if in your physical space.
Yeah, it's tough to explain. It's better for me to show a demonstration video and have you try it for yourself. All you need is your computer's web cam and the special logo you print at home. GE's Smart Grid was the first one of these I tried. Just this Sunday, Best Buy included an augmented reality (AR) icon in their sale circular.
Sure they're a gimmick but they are very cool to play with. The action flick Gamer starring Gerard Butler takes the augmented reality concept to the next level to offer you a virtual lap dance. If you're 18 years old or older you can have a diminutive little lady dance on your desktop.
Here's what you do, get your printable from SocietyARGirls.com and follow the on-screen instructions. Below you can see a little preview of the action.
Gamer is in theaters on Sept. 4. The futuristic thriller stars Gerard Butler, Michael C. Hall, and Kyra Sedgwick.
