"Show me the money!"
"Coffee is for closers."
"Okay. Sounds like a case of the Mondays."
"I'm not even supposed to be here today."
It's Labor Day weekend, a long weekend of sorts when most people will be off of work on Monday to celebrate well, Labor unions and working in general. Kind of ironic, don't you think?
Well, in that spirit, we thought we would kick start your weekend with a little homage to those movies that revolve around the workplace. Of course, what is the workplace? It's pretty much a nebulous term that can refer to just about any movie.
So, tell us which movies about work are your faves and a favorite line or two from said movies.
Update #1
Well, the best one I can think of is of course the one and only Office Space. It's my fave simply because it's so very true. Work places tend to give you like 3 or 4 bosses, and every time you screw up you have to hear about it 3 or 4 times! Sans the quote "I have 8 bosses. So when I screw up, I have to hear about it 8 times!" But if I listed all my favorite quotes from that movie, we would have the script for it. So I will end with simply "I'm going to set the building on fire..."

Tell me about it Matt. Oh wait, I'm one of the lucky ones with only two bosses. But, they're kind enough to make sure they don't pile on when I screw up. Nah, actually I like my bosses and really it's a wonderful environment to work for.
But, back in the day, there were jobs where I could totally relate with Office Space on so many levels. Especially, the crazy psycho with a passion for Swingline staplers. Gotta love Milton!
Update #2
I have 2 favorite work themed movies. Office Space and Clerks. Both are very funny and realistic, have relatble characters, and funny offbeat scripts full of quotable dialogue. From Clerks my favorite line is the classic "My girlfriend sucked 37 dicks; in a row?" exchange between Dante and a customer. From Office Space it's either Jennifer Aniston's "I gave my boss the finger. And the checkout guy. And a lunch line." or Diedrich Bader's quote "Hey, Peter. Watch out for your cornhole."My other favorite one isn't a movie, but an episode of a show. In the fourth season of Supernatural (Which you guys are so awesomely promoting), there was an episode called "It's a Terrible Life" in which the Winchester brothers wake up in an alternate universe where older brother Dean is an executive and younger brother Sam is in tech support. The two team up to fight a ghost making workers kill themselves in very greusome (Yet quite hilarious) ways.

Thanks Shane, yeah Supernatural is one of my fave TV shows and that episode was pretty kick butt.
And you all know of my man-crush on Kevin Smith...
Thanks for the few responses on this pre-holiday social. It seems that most people got an early start on the weekend. Well, I'm about to join them!
