Trailer for Heath Ledger's final film debuts online

Every few years, there comes along a movie that is so visually stunning that you might as well give them all of the Oscars for set design and costuming. What Dreams May Come and Big Fish and Pan's Labyrinth are three recent movies that come to mind.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus will soon join that group. Below, you will find the trailer that popped up on Yahoo earlier today and at first blush, it's everything you've come to expect from Terry Gilliam and then some.

It also has the unfortunate distinction of being the film that late actor Heath Ledger was working on when he died. Keeping true to his word, Gilliam has kept Heath's footage in the film using Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell to fill his shoes at various points along the way.

Given the fantastical elements of the story and Gilliam's uniquely distorted style, the hand-off seemingly works flawlessly.

What do you think of the trailer? Does it make you want to see it when it comes out on Christmas Day?
