I knew that Paramount was looking to take the Star Trek franchise into new and exciting places, but I never knew they were looking to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first look at Star Trek Beyond dropped today and if the trailer looks familiar, it should because it reminded me of Guardians of the Galaxy.

A lot.

And I'm not the only one that noticed it.

Who am I to argue? Since Paramount hasn't given us a poster for Star Trek Beyond, I decided to help them out. You know, maybe save them a few bucks to buy more music rights. Star Trek Beyond hits theaters on July 22, 2016.

Perhaps you missed the first of the new Star Trek movies. You know, the one where they played Sabotage by the Beastie Boys during the car chase. So. the 90's music was in Star Trek before it was in Guardians of the Galaxy. So. if anything,Marvel copied Star Trek

ugh. Star Trek is dead. It died with Vulcan in 2009.

Saw trailer, willing to give the upcoming movie a chance. I had my doubts about the cast at first, but happily they were better than I expected. I've been a Trekkie since the Original Series. So my friends, show your patience 😁

Somehow all these people on Twitter forgot all about the first two Trek films that had this type of music plus that this exact song was in the first one. So pretty Much these new Trek Films did it first. Heh, and this is why I hate the mainstream movie going public.
