As many of you know, I went to see The Force Awakens on opening night as part of the massive seven-film Star Wars marathon. On Monday, Tim finally completed the yin to my yang when he made it out to see The Force Awakens.

So, what did we think? Well, I could tell you, but no one wants to read through 10,000 words as we try to convey the emotions into this dry format. No, wouldn't it be better to listen to us geek out?

That's what we thought as well. So, for the first time since September, we are bringing back our podcast for this momentous occasion. It's not that we wanted to abandon the podcast, but when the site had its issues, it suddenly became more pressing to get the site back online than to chat about films on a podcast.

But now, our site's issues are behind us (we hope) and we are looking toward 2016 for a triumphant return of our podcast. Until then, you can listen to the special episode below to find out what we thought about The Force Awakens.

It goes without saying, but there will be spoilers on the podcast, so if you haven't seen The Force Awakens yet, wait and listen later. If you have seen it and you're curious what we thought, give it a listen.

Loved the podcast, being an original fan and seeing it many times in a theater back in 1977 I thought this one was a return to the feeling the original movies brought to me.

I have seen many theories online and yours were good, though one I do like and is kind of like yours of Han and Ben. This one is of Luke and Ben, realizing that they had a chance to eliminate the dark side once and for all, they staged Ben's turn to the dark side. They hid the young Jedi's in training by wiping their memories which is why Rey doesn't remember her parents. Also Luke went into hiding because he knew that Ben might have to kill one of his parents to completely turn to the dark side. I think Episode 8 will be very dark as Kylo Ren receives his training from Snoke and Rey probably learns some of the truth about her parents, especially her father's decision to let Han die.
