Cats have nine lives, but one wonders how many lives an ice pick has after the recent turn of events in the pre-production of "Basic Instinct 2."
The problem with the sequel stems in the casting of the male lead. This "unfortunate soul" will probably spend plenty of time between the sheets with Sharon Stone (who is already sitting on a reported $14 million deal that she's entitled to whether or not the movie ever gets made). It seems like every actor with a SAG card has been up for the role, and, yet no one wants to bare it all with Stone.
But fear not, latest reports indicate that Benjamin Bratt is seriously considering the role. Apparently, sleeping with the "Ice Queen" has given him plenty of material to use against the ice pick wielding killer...
