Did You Know?

• David was raised in northern California and Oregon. He graduated from Ashland High School.
• David began working for Korty Films when he was 18 years old. He worked for Industrial Light & Magic at the same time. David was part of the special effects crew on Return of the Jedi.
• David got his first chances at serious directing with commercials and music videos for N. Lee Lacy.
• David and other directors formed the organization Propaganda, full of other directors told the "just didn't have what it takes."
• He was married to Donya Fiorentino from 1990 until their divorce in 1995. She married (and subsequently divorced) Gary Oldman in 1997.
