• She began her career as a stand-up comic. Later, she studied with the 'Mother-Creator' of improv comedy, Viola Spolin.
• Edie as a Master's of Science from Syracuse.
• She taught radio for eight years at the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
• In addition to her acting and stand-up, Edie does voice-overs for children's shows.
• Edie's first career was a newswriter and documentary producer for the Kansas City affiliate of National Public Radio. It was a trip to visit her brother in San Francisco that changed her mind.
