• Denis established The Leary Firefighters Foundation in 2000 after his cousin and a high school classmate were killed responding to a 1999 blaze in Denis' hometown of Worcester.
• Leary was made famous by his abrasive, one-man stand-up stage show named "No Cure For Cancer".
