• He was raised by his aunt and uncle in Fairmont, Indiana.
• He is the only actor to receive more than one posthumous Academy Award nomination.
• James Dean died when his Porsche Spyder collided with another car in California. He had received a speeding ticket only a few hours before the incident.
• He is buried at Park Cemetery in Fairmont, Indiana.
• Much like Marilyn Monroe, Dean rose to legend status in the years after his untimely death.
