Did You Know?

• When Liev was one, his parents divorced and he and his mother moved to New York where they lived as squatters in an abandoned building.
• Liev was forbidden to watch color movies as he grew up. He became a Charlie Chaplin fan.
• He graduated from the Yale School of Drama where he originally planned to be a playwright. One of his teachers encouraged him to become an actor instead.
• His birth name is Isaac Liev Schrieber. He goes by Liev because he thinks Isaac sounds too much like 'The Love Boat.'
• Liev was a little thief when he was growing up. He was one of the bad kids in school, a rebel so-to-speak.
• Liev also attended Amherst College.
• Liev has enjoyed much success on the theater stage as well as the movie screen.
