• Christopher won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "The Deer Hunter" in 1978.
• When he was 15, he worked as a lion tamer in a circus.
• Christopher's Hollywood influence was Jerry Lewis. He met Lewis when he was 10 on "The Colgate Comedy Hour." Walken was an extra and acted in a skit with Lewis who told him to follow his career in show business.
• Christopher is scared of going to fast in cars.
• He was among those on Natalie Wood's yacht the night she drowned.
• Quote: "I make movies that nobody will see. I've made movies that even I have never seen."
• His real name is Ronald Walken. It was changed by his Broadway musical "Baker Street" co-star Monique Van Vooren.
• Georgianne Thon was Christopher's girlfriend in "West Side Story" and later became his wife. They married in 1969. The couple decided against having children due to the constant travel required for their careers.
