• Pierce was a runaway teen who joined the circus and began his entertainment career as a fire-eater.
• His big stage break came when he was hand picked by Tennessee Williams to play McCabe in the British premiere of "Red Devil Battery Sign."
• Before he was 007, he was Remington Steele, a private investigator drama which aired from 1982 to 1987.
• He was married to actress Cassandra Harris until 1991 when she sadly passed away from ovarian cancer. The two had one son, Sean.
• Pierce has another son, Dylan, with long-time companion Keely Shaye Smith.
• He was originally offered the James Bond role in 1986, but he was obligated to Remington Steele when they renewed the contract.
• Pierce finally became James Bond in 1994. Since, his Bond movies have grossed more than all of the previous Bond movies.
