• Rob's big break came from his appearance on HBO's "13th Annual Young Comedians Special" in 1990. Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels was in the audience and signed him up as a writer for SNL. Rob wanted to perform as well as write, so he was cast for the series.

• He co-owns the DNA Lounge Club with his brother, John Schneider, who is also his manager.
• Rob used warm up the crowds at San Francisco comedy clubs for comedians like Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld, and Dana Carvey.
