• Jim is married to Kerri, an English teacher.
• He grew up a a very close-knit Catholic family.
• He attended Bellevue Community College, where he played college basketball. His lifelong dream was to play professional basketball until a foot injury caused a career change.
• Jim has three sisters and one brother. All of his siblings played college basketball as well.
• When Jim first went to Hollywood, he waited tables between auditions. He had decided to return home for a more stable life with his wife but then was offered a role in The Thin Red Line.
