• Val hlas several pets, dogs, cats, chickens, horses and buffalo. Yes, he has three buffalo as pets.
• Val is very active in Native American affairs and is a huge supporter of environmental safety. He also supports Lead or Leave and Habitat for Humanity.
• Val started dating actress Daryl Hannah in mid-2001.
