Did You Know?

• Ron knew he wanted to direct rather than act early in his career.
• He studied film at the University of California for two years. Ron decided it would be better experience to learn hands-on.
• He was 22 when he directed his first film, Eat My Dust!
• Ron married his high school sweetheart in 1975. They have four children, one boy and three girls.
• Ron and wife Cheryl named three of their children after the places they were conceived: Bryce Dallas (Dallas, Texas), Jocelyn Carlyle and Paige Carlyle (Hotel Carlyle in New York). They named their fourth child Reed.
• One of Ron's high school classmates was actress Rene Russo.
• QUOTE: "I don't understand how all these kids got interested in collecting toys. When I was a kid we played with our toys - and destroyed them with cherry bombs!"
