• Patricia grew up in Venezuela with five brothers and sisters.
• Her parents were teachers.
• Patricia graduated from San Vincente de Paul High School in 1987.
• She enrolled in college to study engineering and accouting which would prepare her to work in the oil industry.
• After only one year, Patricia left for Milan to make a career in modeling.
• She didn't chase the modeling career. In 1989, a friend sent a modeling agency a picture of herself in hopes of getting a contract. But, the picture included Patricia and the agency made the call to her, not her friend.
• With her first big paychecks from her new modeling career, Patricia bought her family a new home and paid for her brother's college educations.
• She donates money to pediatric AIDS research and assistance for Venezuelans, Hispanics and indigenous people.
• The first American movie Patricia watched a at theater was Close Encounters Of The Third Kind.
• Patricia had a romantic relationship with actress Sandra Bernhard in the earlier 1990's when she first moved to the United States.
• Patricia lives in New York.
