Did You Know?

• Fran was married to her high school sweetheart Peter Marc Jacobson. They produced 'The Nanny' together.
• Fran was diagnosed with uterine cancer in 2000 but early detection and surgery removed the cancerous cells and she's had a healthy recovery.
• Casting agents continued to tell Fran that her thick Queens accent was "holding her back" during auditions.
• Fran and Peter moved from New York to Los Angeles in the early eighties.
• In 1985, Fran and Peter's home was broken into. Fran was raped. They moved in with their good friends Dan Aykroyd and Donna Dixon for a short time.
• 'The Nanny' was inspired from a personal experience. Fran visited her friend Twiggy in Europe and while she was there, she stayed with Twiggy's teenage daughter as she traveled quite a bit with her modeling career.
• Fran's only "child," her Pomeranian dog Chester, starred in her sitcom too. Chester died on Christmas, 2000.
• QUOTE: "I read for the part of Elizabeth, the virgin queen. I thought they said they were looking for a virgin from Queens. Whatever, the only virgin in my house is the olive oil."
