• Breckin lives with Deborah Kaplan, who directed Can't Hardly Wait. They have been together since 1995.
• Breckin used to play drums in a band with some friends. They made three albums.
• Breckin went to elementary school with Drew Barrymore. She wrote in her biography that Breckin was her first kiss, she was 10 and he was 11 years old.
• Breckin graduated from Beverly Hills High School with Alicia Silverstone, Johnny Whitworth, Josh Miller and Brandon Williams.
• Breckin's best friend is actor Ryan Phillippe.
• Drew Barrymore introduced Breckin to her agent which lead to commercials and a spot on the children's game show "Child's Play."
• Breckin enrolled at California State University at Northridge to study elementary education. He decided to wait for education and try acting first.
