• Tim's parents were a Methodist Navy chaplain and a school secretary.
• Tim graduated from Birmingham University with a double degree in Drama and English.
• Tim's acting path started on theatre stages in London.
• Tim has earned two Tony nomimations for best actor.
• Tim has a very distinctive voice. Not only is his voice heard on several audio books and animated television series, but you can also hear Tim at Disney World welcoming visitors to Tomorrowland.

Tim went to the Rocky Horror Picture Show audition hoping to be Rocky. After singing Little Richard's "Tootie Fruitie," the director cast him as Dr. Frank 'N Furter.
