• Delroy's parents are both Jamaican.
• He grew up in England until he moved to Canade with his mother in the sixties.
• Delroy eventually ended up in the United States and graduated from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.
• Ten years went by between Delroy's big film debut and his second role. He was a sargeant in More American Graffiti in 1979 and then took to the stage for years.
• Delroy is married to Neshormey Lindo.
