• Elias is Greek.
• Elias studied at Vanier College in Montreal but left and graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.
• Elias was nominated for a Genie Award (Canada's equivalent of an Oscar) for his performance in Malarek.
• Elias once dated Heather Graham.
• After graduating from the Academy, Elias continued studying at the New York Actor's Studio under Ellen Burstyn and Peter Masterson.
• "Elias" is Greek for The Lord is God.
• At one time, Elias washed dishes and bussed tables in New York for $1.00 an hour. He wasn't a U.S. citizen and was not allowed to work in this country.
• When asked about doing full, frontal nudity, Elias laughs: "Hard to say. If I had time to fluff it up a little bit, maybe."
• Many people say he looks like Robert De Niro.
