• In the rapping industry, Sean has many nicknames, "Puffy," "Puff Daddy," and "P-Diddy." There are different stories as to how these nicknames emerged. "Puffy" came from his childhood because he would huff and puff when he was mad or from the way he would puff up his chest while playing high school football to make him look bigger.
• Sean was arrested in 1999 for his alleged involvement in a shooting at a nightclub. Police found a gun in Puffy's car.
