• Martin was married to Barbara Bain for 35 years before their divorce. They have two daughters, Susan and Juliet.
• His got first real job at 17. He was a cartoonist for the New York Daily Times.
• He auditioned for an opening at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Institute in 1955. Out of 2,000 performers/applicants, only two were accepted, Martin and Steve McQueen.
• His fame came from the television series "Mission: Impossible."
• Martin was given his own star on the Walk of Fame in December, 2001 for his work in The Majestic.
• Martin won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 1994 for his role in Ed Wood.
