Garcelle is divorced from producer Daniel Sanders and they have one son, Oliver.
Garcelle's mother moved her family to Massachusetts from Haiti when she was 12, after her parent's divorce.
She has six siblings.
When she was 16, the family moved back south to Miami and a year later Garcelle traveled back to New York to pursue a modeling career.
