Did You Know?

• Danny was a troubled child. His run-in with the law put him in jail for a total of 11 years for robbery and drugs.
• Danny won the welterweight and lightweight boxing titles while in prison at San Quentin.
• After completing a 12-step rehabilitation program, Danny was released and make speeches about his past. One listener at a Cocaine Anonymous meeting contacted him later for support and the two met, coincidentally, on the set of Runaway Train.
• He is nicknamed "The Mayor."

Runaway Train (1985)
Danny's first movie role came on Runaway Train when he went to counsel someone and was offered an extra's part as a convict due to his very tatooed body. He ended up with a very prominent role in the movie after he showed his boxing skills while training co-star Eric Roberts.
