• Leo, much like his debut role in Kids, was a delinquent, skateboarding teenager.

• After Kids, Leo decided he didn't like acting and quit. He took $300, his skateboard and some clothes and moved to England.
• After a three-year hiatus, Leo was convinced to come and make a follow-up to Kids. Since, he's stuck to acting but makes movies as a career very low priority.

Leo and his castmates in Kids were as close as directors could get to real delinquents. The group portrayed the New York problem-children so well many people thought the movie was a documentary.
