• Taryn has a band, BoomKat, with her brother Kellin. It's first name was just KAT, for Kellin and Taryn but they decided to add BOOM for affect.
• Taryn's acting career began with the short-lived television series 'Get Real.'
• While in high school, her dance troupe won a national competition title.
• Taryn is also a state champion in karate competitions.
• QUOTE: "I worked at Baskin-Robbins, and I became a shift leader. It was cool just because I was the manager on duty when no one else was around. I ate a lot of ice cream, but I'd just use a little spoon." Taryn on one of her many jobs.
• Her musical talents come naturally as her father played in several bands and her mother was a dancer.
• She may have been let go during her 'Popstars' audition, but it didn't matter when DreamWorks called her up and offered her a record deal.
