Clayne is engaged to actress Sunny Mabrey. Even though the couple met in a theater in LA, they grew up 20 minutes away from each other in Alabama.
His birthname was Joseph, but changed from Joey to Clayne for two reasons. One to honor an ancestor and two because people would remember Clayne.
Clayne moved to Los Angeles to play baseball for UCLA, not to act. But a knee injury forced him to re-evaluate his life.
Clayne signed with a commerical agent and waited four years before he got his first role. In the meantime, he worked construction.
Clayne still drives his old Toyota truck and claims he'll never get behind the wheel of a BMW.
