• Poppy has four sisters, all named after flower fairies from a children's book. Rosie Thorn, Daisy Yellow, Lily Belle and Marigold Sun. She also has one brother, Jethro Tull, named after the seventies rock band.
• Her real name is Poppy Petal Donahue. She took her mother's maiden name, Montgomery, as her stage name.
• She is 5'5" tall.
• Poppy made several appearances on television shows like 'Party of Five' and was a regular in the series 'Relativity' and 'Justice on the Bayou.' She has also starred in more recent series like 'The Beat' and 'Homicide: Life On The Street.'
• Poppy, who is Australian, auditioned for a role as an Australian girl once and believed she was a "shoe-in" for the part. She didn't get the part and her feedback said she had the worst Australian accent they had ever heard.
• Poppy was ecstatic to portray Marilyn Monroe in 'Blonde' because she has been obsessed with the actress since she was a young child.
• Poppy left Australia and came to America for love. The relationship ended so she left Florida and headed to Los Angeles.
• Poppy's relentless desire landed her an agent, Bob McGowan, who also takes care of Julia Roberts. In their initial conversation he told Poppy he didn't handle unknown talent but she decided to change his mind.
